My role

2018–present

I joined EaseCation in 2018. Today I serve as a super administrator and lead internal operations and web engineering. My work covers the architecture and operation of our web stack, including internal applications, services around the game, releases, and Aliyun infrastructure.

My EaseCation team profile

Internal systems

Most of the software I build here consists of internal OA applications designed around EaseCation’s own operating processes. They handle private workflows and infrastructure, so very little of this work is open source.

Internal OA applications

OA tools for recurring operations, reviews, handoffs, and cross-team coordination.

Game-server development

Development and maintenance for EaseCation’s main Minecraft server and its surrounding services.

Web engineering and cloud operations

Public-facing and internal web platforms, together with deployment and Aliyun operations for the full web stack.

Web platform

The stack began with MyEC and now supports a group of connected products. I designed and maintain their shared runtime: traffic enters through Alibaba Cloud CDN, static frontends live in OSS, most APIs run in Function Compute, and persistent services run on ECS. Every product uses EaseCation IAM. Production and Playground stay separate so new releases can be tested before going live.

MyEC

MyEC is one of the few EaseCation projects we have made public, and our first released web-platform project. Its AGPL-3.0 repository includes the player and administrator frontends, shared packages, and a mock backend for local development. Together they cover sign-in, account binding, support tickets, and staff workflows.

Potato Spring Gala

2022–present

The technical work is only one part of my time at EaseCation. The Potato Spring Gala is a player-made New Year show with songs, performances, Minecraft films, and other community submissions. I directed the 2022, 2024, and 2025 editions. The 2025 show was our most complete production so far and part of EaseCation’s tenth-anniversary celebration.
