Kiwi & CodeShin
I built CodeShin for NYU Shanghai’s 2025 Digital Innovation Challenge, then brought parts of it into the Kiwi course platform. I worked on Kiwi from summer 2025 to January 2026.

CodeShin
Spring 2025
I built CodeShin for the fourth Digital Innovation Challenge, whose theme was AI-powered personalized education. The open-source programming practice prototype combines coding problems, solution analysis, and an AI assistant, using React and Monaco Editor with a Django backend.
CodeShin into Kiwi
Summer 2025
After DIC, we moved CodeShin’s programming exercises and AI-assisted learning ideas into Kiwi, where they could be used by students and instructors in an existing course workflow.
Kiwi
Summer 2025 – January 2026
On Kiwi, I worked across the NestJS backend and React frontend on exercise assignment, AI-assisted evaluation, student feedback, instructor dashboards, and data export. Kiwi brings course materials, lectures and recitations, AI chat, exercises, and evaluation into one system used for Introduction to Computer Programming at NYU Shanghai.
